Friendship Club
Blending respite, friendship and fun, our friendship club is for persons over 65years, people with dementia or people with a disability who live in the City of Onkaparinga and have a carer.
Qualified staff and trained volunteers provide a professional support program in a safe and welcoming environment.
Friendship Club provides participants over the age of 65 with meaningful activities working on wellbeing whilst supporting and facilitating independence and choice in a safe and stimulating environment. Program activities and outings are based on participant's interests and goals
The program operates Monday & Thursday 9:30 - 2:30pm
Activities include, entertainment, exercise - including walking & exercise physiology, small group outings in the local community and much more
Healthy nutritious meals provided
Transport can be arranged if required
Eligibility criteria:
- be a City of Onkaparinga resident
- Over 65 years of age
- have a My Aged Care referral Tel:1800 200 422 www.myagedcare.gov.au (support can be arranged to assist in this process)
- participants to be independent in their personal care & medication administration.
