The City of Onkaparinga is experiencing an ongoing high level of renewal and new projects and we require a Principal Design Coordinator to assist us in meeting the varied design requirements this brings. The Principal Design Coordinator is responsible for the design of civil engineering projects through the planning, consultation and design stages. The position provides leadership, advice, supervision, support and assistance to the Senior Civil Engineering Designer and the Civil Engineering Designers.
The Principal Design Coordinator is responsible for the ongoing improvement of design processes and techniques used by the Technical Services design team to best utilise individuals within the team to provide effective, high quality designs.
This role will provide you with a unique opportunity to interact with senior Council staff to assist in delivering outstanding subdivision projects. The successful applicant will have a sound knowledge of current civil engineering standards with experience in producing CAD design documentation. Exceptional oral and written communication skills are essential, with a cooperative approach to achieving effective design outcomes.
