The Facility Services Coordinator position is an integral role within the Facility Operations team and is responsible for leading the Facility Services team in the successful delivery of maintenance services to council buildings, playgrounds and park and street furniture.

The position is responsible for the effective delivery of:

  • Facility Services functions including the maintenance, minor upgrades and replacement of building components and fixtures, playgrounds and park and street furniture assets throughout all areas of the City with a strong focus on the planning, scheduling and delivery of operational projects, programs and contracts relating to the Facility Services portfolio.
  • Ensuring the achievement of agreed outcomes consistent with business and operational plans, programs, projects, contracts, budgets and the measuring and reporting of outcomes.
  • Leading, supervising and mentoring Facility Services staff in the management of their relevant portfolios.

    The successful applicant will possess:

  • Strong knowledge and experience in the planning, scheduling and implementation of maintenance projects and programs relating to buildings and urban furniture assets
  • Highly developed oral, written and interpersonal communication skills that enable communication at all levels and encourage positive relationships and the development, co-operation and support of others.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial management (budgeting) principles and practices.
  • Knowledge and experience in leading, supervising, mentoring and the performance management of staff to ensure positive and effective outcomes.
