• I've just been sent the stuff from Wotif about McLaren Vale being named SA's best tourism destination and 6th in Aus. Could you please send through some comments from the mayor about how exciting this is for the region, what it will mean for the region, etc.?

It’s an honour for McLaren Vale to be recognised as a finalist in Wotif’s Aussie Town of the Year Awards, home to some of Australia’s best tourism experiences. Our passionate tourism operators share a good story, make you feel completely at home, and know that when you leave, you will return again soon. They make this place so special.

We know how lucky we are to be part of the McLaren Vale and Fleurieu Coast, which is the only place in Australia where you can experience both the coast and vines in under 45 minutes from a capital city, making it one of Australia’s top holiday destinations.

Our world renowned wine region, nestled alongside 31kilometers of pristine beaches, is just waiting to be explored, and if you also love a great craft beer or gin and enjoy fresh local produce-driven menus, the McLaren Vale and Fleurieu Coast has to be on your bucket list.
