A new era for the City of Onkaparinga

Following a rigorous recruitment process attracting an impressive field of quality candidates, Scott Ashby has been appointed as the City of Onkaparinga’s new Chief Executive Officer.

He brings to the role more than 20 years leadership experience running large and diverse government agencies.

Mr Ashby will commence as CEO on Monday the 27th of April.

Bio – CEO Scott Ashby

Scott has worked in both the South Australian and Victorian public sectors since 1991.

Prior to this appointment, Scott served for seven years as Chief Executive of Primary Industries and Regions SA in the South Australian Government.

He previously held the positions of Chief Executive in both the Department for Water (DFW) and the Department of Water, Land and Biodiversity Conservation (DWLBC).

These roles included responsibility for policy areas addressing regional economic development, intergovernmental relations, natural resources management, environment protection, water management, greenhouse and climate change policy, agriculture, biosecurity, forestry, minerals and petroleum development, fisheries and science policy.
