Onkaparinga Youth Week Grants

Onkaparinga Youth week showcases young peoples’ talents, contributions and achievements; promotes a positive image of young people; acknowledges the common interests of young people and their diverse backgrounds and circumstances; and enables young people to express their ideas.  

The City of Onkaparinga will provide grants to fund activities, events and projects to celebrate young people during youth week. Applicants are welcome to apply for multiple smaller grants by completing one application form per proposed project, demonstrating clear distinctions between the projects.

Funding conditions

Community groups, schools and organisations are invited to get involved by applying for grants of up to $1000 to run events and activities during Youth Week.

Applicants are welcome to apply for multiple smaller grants by completing one application form per proposed project, demonstrating clear distinctions between the projects.

Onkaparinga Youth Week (OYW) projects must provide opportunities for young people to do one or more of the following:

  • share ideas
  • attend live events
  • have their voices heard on issues of concern to them
  • showcase their talents
  • celebrate the contributions that they make to their communities.

All the activities are to be delivered in collaboration with young people and are be made freely available for young people aged 8–25 years
