Community Training and Development Fund
The Community Training and Development Fund provides grants of up to $1500 for volunteer members of community groups to build community capacity.
Applications are invited from community groups based within the City of Onkaparinga for grants to fund training and conference attendance, which will encourage individual and group skill development and community participation.

The purpose of this fund is to assist local groups to access training and skill development opportunities for their members. These skills should assist in encouraging community participation, developing local groups and building individual skills.
The following maximum grant amounts per group per financial year will apply.
- Maximum grant available for intrastate training or conferences is $375 per person, with a maximum of $750 per group (i.e. 1 person = $375 max, 2 or more people = $750 max, in-house/group training = $750 max).
- Maximum grant available for international or interstate training and conferences is $750 per person, with a maximum of $1500 per group (i.e. 1 person = $750 max, 2 or more people = $1500 max).
Previously funded training includes:
- Safe food handling
- Child safe environments
- Cash handling
- Accidental counsellor
- Managing difficult behaviours
