Mayor Erin Thompson would like to announce the Winners of the Mayor’s Christmas Lights Display Competition for 2021.

All nominees are to be congratulated for their efforts and community spirit in their Christmas light displays.

Conditions of entry

  • All entrants are encouraged to have their light displays on between 8pm and 11pm during the judging period.
  • The entrant agrees to the property address being listed in promotional material and on the City of Onkparinga website.
  • All entrants understand that their property may be photographed and these photos may be used in the promotion of the event.
  • All houses entered for the Best Street category can also enter for the Best Single House category. Please indicate this on the form.
  • The judges reserve the right to award high commendation  and spirit of Christmas awards at their discretion.
  • All entrants will be notified of the results following judging.
  • Judges decision is final.

Hall of Fame

Participants are entered into the Hall of Fame if their light display has been the recipient of a Mayor’s Christmas light competition award on two occasions. Once a light display has been inducted into the Hall of Fame they are still able to participate in the competition but will be ineligible to receive an award. All Hall of Fame recipients receive a certificate in recognition and will be featured on the council’s website.
