Expression of Interest now open for Wardli Youth Centre sub tenancies

The City of Onkaparinga is committed to fostering strong, vibrant communities that are connected, engaged, and resilient. By supporting our communities' strengths, we advance equity and inclusion for all.

Recognising the benefit of transforming its Youth Centres to leverage these outcomes, City of Onkaparinga is now calling for expressions of interest from a broad range of community service providers and organisations to lease/license space within Wardli Youth Centre. In August 2024 Onkaparinga Youth Services will be collocating with Onkaparinga Youth Enterprise Hub and Neporendi Aboriginal Community Centre at Wardli Youth Centre and we are seeking expressions of interest from agencies and businesses whose values and service deliver aligns, compliments and adds value to these existing and future services.

Leasable spaces vary from 8.5 to 45.5 square metres (licenses for commercial kitchen space at the Wardli Youth Centre are available, with fees based on total hours of operation).

In addition to rent, successful applicants will need to cover their own phone and internet costs and cleaning (within their leased area only).

Successful applicants will receive a 12-month lease or license, with the potential for an ongoing tenancy for up to five years.

The successful applicants will operate from the Youth Centre with the aim of:

  • delivering targeted and/or universal programs/services that align, compliment and or add value to existing City of Onkaparinga Youth and Neporendi Aboriginal Community Centre services.
  • contributing to our community having a high quality of life, physically, mentally, emotionally, socially and culturally.
  • supporting community learning, developing skills and capacity, social connection, wellbeing and connecting with relevant information and services.
  • Encouraging, facilitating and fostering involvement of community in decision making that impact them.

Requirements

Applicants must ensure all individuals working from the Youth Centre hold a current screening clearance from the Department of Human Services allowing them to work in a child-safe environment.
