We offer a wide variety of exercise classes that are accessible to all a wide variety of ages and all fitness levels.

Aqua aerobics

Aqua aerobics uses water resistance to improve flexibility and strength without putting too much strain on your joints. Aqua aerobics is a great way to improve your fitness.

A single Aqua aerobics class will be offered and on weekend public holidays, no other classes will be offered.

Aqua

Aqua aerobics uses water resistance to improve flexibility and strength. Aqua aerobics is a great way to improve your overall fitness. Aqua (Deep Water) is a more challenging Aqua aerobics class, as exercises can be carried without your feet touching the ground.

*Wednesday 1.30pm is only provided in school terms.

Group fitness

Group fitness is choreographed exercise to music for all fitness levels. Its a fun way to to get fit and active with a variety of classes.

Pilates

Circuit Fusion
This dynamic group fitness class combines cardio, strength training, and core exercises into a high-energy circuit format. Expect a full-body workout that boosts your endurance and builds strength in a fun and energetic atmosphere.

Core & Balance
A low impact class using body weight, weights and other equipment to strengthen and tone all the muscles that make up your core, followed by full body stretches to complete the workout.  

Pilates
This class lengthens and stretches all the major muscle groups in the body in a balanced fashion. Floor exercises using a yoga mat employs controlled breathing during body weight resisted movement to build core strength.

Yoga
Yoga is a mind and body practice. Various styles of yoga combine physical postures, breathing techniques, and meditation or relaxation. It involves movement, meditation, and breathing techniques to promote mental and physical well-being. There are several types of yoga and many disciplines within the practice.

Strength for Life

Participants engage in a progressive strength training, using appropriate and increasing resistance under the supervision of qualified instructors. 
*Assessment required prior to attending.

Strength and Balance (50+)

A group-based exercise program for people aged 50 years or older to improve physical health, build strength and increase social connections.

Strength for Life at Noarlunga Aquatic Centre is an empowering program endorsed by COTA SA, specifically designed for adults aged 50 and above.

About Strength for Life: Our hour-long Strength for Life classes focus on tailored strength and cardio training. Each session is supervised by qualified fitness instructors trained to support participants in achieving their fitness goals.

Signup Process: To begin your Strength for Life journey:

  1. Contact our customer service team to schedule your mandatory initial health assessment. This assessment kick-starts your personalised fitness program.
    • Initial health assessments are priced at $45.00.
  2. Once assessed, our experienced instructors will craft and guide you through your tailored fitness program.

Booking Process for Classes: Secure your spot in our limited-capacity classes:

  1. Book your hour-long session up to 7 days in advance via our online booking portal.
  2. Timely bookings are essential due to limited class capacity (maximum 15 participants).

Payment Options: After your initial health assessment, payment options include:

  • $9.10 per visit
  • $69.70 for a 10-visit pass

Aqua Movement - Disability and inclusion

A fun, water-based exercise class meets weekly during school terms on Wednesdays at Noarlunga Leisure Centre.  Classes are facilitated by a Swimming Instructor. 

Eligibility criteria 

  • aged between 18-65 years and living with a disability
  • services to be accessed by participant's NDIS plan or at their own cost
  • be a resident of the City of Onkaparinga 
  • participants to bring a support worker with them if requiring personal care, medication administration, specialised meal time requirements, psychosocial or communication support .

Conditions of use

Group Fitness Class Conduct
Noarlunga Aquatic Centre

To ensure a safe, respectful and enjoyable experience for all pool and centre users, please follow the guidelines below when attending group fitness classes:

Wait for Class to Begin

  • Please do not enter the designated class area or lane until the class has officially started and the instructor has invited you in.
  • Early entry can impact other swimmers or gym users who are using the pool or gym before the class begins. Thank you for being considerate of all users.

Help Everyone Hear the Instructor

  • Please avoid loud conversations during class. Talking can make it difficult for others to hear the instructor and concentrate.
  • Enjoy the social side of aqua aerobics and group fitness before and after class – we just ask that during the session, the focus remains on the workout.

Respect Others

  • Treat instructors and fellow participants with respect at all times.
  • Disruptive or confrontational behaviour, including mocking or inappropriate comments, will not be tolerated.
  • Group fitness classes are for people of all backgrounds and abilities. Please help us maintain a friendly, welcoming environment for everyone.

Safety First

  • Let your instructor know if you have any medical concerns or need extra support.
  • If you feel unwell during the class, please leave the water and inform the instructor or a staff member.

How to book a group fitness class

Group Fitness classes must be booked in advance and each attendee must check in at the Centre reception desk prior to the class.

Casual users

To book into a class you must have an Xplor account, accounts can be set up using the link below. All classes must be booked and paid for in advance.

Members

To book a class please login to Xplor, you can login and access the class schedule using the link below. When you login, your membership will be linked to you and you will not be required to pay a fee for classes that you can access as part of your membership. If your membership has expired, you can renew your membership in Xplor. Please also remember to cancel your booking if you no longer require it.
