Noarlunga Aquatic Centre

Noarlunga Aquatic Centre is proud to be a family orientated centre. Please be mindful in helping to preserve an environment that is safe and free from bad behaviour or intolerance.

  • Walking only on all concourse areas at all times.
  • No smoking or vaping within the centre.  
  • Children under 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
  • Glass containers or ceramics are not permitted within the centre. 
  • Behaviour likely to cause injury is not permitted. 
  • No electrical equipment is allowed to be plugged in unless authorised by management.
  • Abusive and foul language will not be tolerated.
  • Strictly no alcohol or drugs permitted. People under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be asked to leave the centre.
  • We are proud to be a family orientated centre. Centre staff will take action to preserve an environment that is safe and free from bad behaviour or intolerance.

Pool Conditions of Use and 'Watch Around Water' Supervision Guidelines

General pool Conditions of Use

  • Walking only on all concourse areas at all times. 
  • Diving in shallow water is not permitted.
  • The throwing of hard balls (eg – tennis balls, football, etc.) in the pool area is not permitted.
  • No shoulder rides.
  • Bomb dives, back flips, somersaults, spin jumps or other acrobatics are not permitted. 
  • Eating and drinking in the water or on the edge is not permitted. 
  • Children 5 years and older are not permitted in the toddler pool. 

Supervision Guidelines - 'Watch Around Water'

Noarlunga Aquatic Centre is a Watch Around Water endorsed centre. The following supervision policy apply when using the pool and spa areas.

Program Objectives

The Watch Around Water program aims to prevent drowning deaths and drowning related injuries at public swimming pools by promoting active parental supervision, assisting aquatic staff to promote safe supervision practices. This helps to provide a safe aquatic venue for the community.

Key Principles

  • Children under 5 years must be constantly supervised and remain within arms reach.
  • Children under 10 years must be accompanied into the facility and constantly supervised by a parent/ guardian.
  • Children requiring a floatation device must be constantly supervised and remain within arms reach.
  • Unsupervised children (of any age) will be removed from the water if the lifeguard is concerned for their safety.
  • Children will be required to wear a coloured wristband denoting the applicable regulations.

Sauna Conditions of Use

  • No access for persons under the age of 16.
  • Please sit on a towel using the sauna.
  • Do not exercise while in the sauna.
  • Please shower before and after using the sauna.
  • It is recommended that you use the sauna for no longer than 15 minutes.
  • Please DO NOT pour water on the heater stones.
  • Do not use the sauna under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  • Patrons who are pregnant or suffer from heart conditions should refrain from using the sauna.
  • Please ensure that you stay well hydrated when using the sauna.
  • Maximum of 6 people at any one time in the sauna.
  • The sauna is a heated environment. If you are concerned that it may adversely affect you, it is your responsibility to seek medical advice.

Spa Conditions of Use

  • Children under 16 years are not allow in the spa area.
  • NEVER PUT HEAD UNDER WATER.
  •  Do not use the spa pool area while under the influence of drugs or alcohol (certain medications may produce adverse effects).
  • It is safer not to use the spa pool alone.
  • It is recommended that you use the spa pool for no longer than 15 minutes at a time.
  • Please shower before using the spa.
  • Do not use any washing products in the spa.
  • It is recommended that you stay well hydrated while using the spa.
  • It is recommended that you do not use the spa if you are pregnant.
  • This spa pool is a heated water environment. If you are concerned that it may adversely affect you it is your responsibility to seek medical advice.

Aqua Fun Run and Tarzan rope rules

Aqua Fun Run rules

  • No one under 5 years is allowed on Aqua Fun Run.
  • All users must complete a swim test before being able to use the Fun Run.
  • Lifeguards and Duty Supervisors will determine if swimmers are able or unable to use the Fun Run based on swimming ability.
  • Users must wait in line until instructed by an attendant to proceed on to the Fun Run.
  • Be patient when waiting in line. No pushing.
  • No sharp objects allowed on inflatable (No buckles, jewellery, hair clips, keys or eyeglasses). No goggles or floatation aides.
  • No diving, flips, bombs or other acrobatics are permitted.
  • Users are to exit to the side of the pool immediately after falling from Fun Run.
  • DO NOT SWIM UNDER THE INFLATABLE
  • No pushing or body contact with other users while on the Fun Run.
  • Lifeguards and Duty Supervisors can revoke access to the Fun Run at any time, dependent on behaviour and swimming ability of participants.
  • You may not use the Fun Run if you have a history back or neck problems, epilepsy, heart complaint, or are pregnant, unwell or under the influence of drugs or alcohol.  

Tarzan rope

  • No one under 5 years is allowed on the Tarzan rope.
  • All users must complete a swim test before being able to use the Tarzan rope.
  • Lifeguards and Duty Supervisors will determine if swimmers are able or unable to use the Tarzan rope based on swimming ability of participants.
  • Users must wait in line until instructed by an attendant to proceed on to the Tarzan rope.
  • Please be patient when waiting in line. No pushing.
  • No goggles or floatation aides.
  • No diving, flips, bombs or other acrobatics are permitted. Land feet first only.
  • Users are to exit to the splash zone immediately after falling from Tarzan rope.
  • Do not twist or wrap the rope around any part of your body.
  • Lifeguards and Duty Supervisors can revoke access to the Tarzan rope at any time, dependent on behaviour and swimming ability of participants.
  • You may not use the Tarzan rope if you have a history back or neck problems, epilepsy, heart complaint, or are pregnant, unwell or under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Gym Conditions of Use and Etiquette

  • Wear appropriate exercise clothing at all times.
  • Appropriate close-toe shoes must be worn at all times while in the gym area. No boots or dress shoes.
  • Wipe down all equipment after using it with the disinfectant and paper towels supplied.
  • You must have a gym towel with you at all times and use it while using machines.
  • Please replace equipment after use.
  • Please do not train if you feel unwell.
  • Remember that the gym is a shared space. Please be mindful of others and share equipment where possible.

Photography and Camera Use Conditions

Visitors are welcome to capture their special moments on camera or video while at the centre, as long as the privacy of other members and guests is respected. Use of cameras, video recorders, and smartphones in the facility is only permitted under the following conditions:

  • The privacy of others must be respected at all times.
  • You must have consent from all identifiable individuals before capturing or sharing images.
  • Cameras or recording devices are strictly prohibited in all change room areas and sauna room.
  • Management reserves the right to request that patrons cease using photographic or videographic devices if it is deemed inappropriate. 
  • It is illegal to publish or broadcast any images or footage without appropriate consent.
