Major Festivals and Events Grants

Our Major Festivals and Events Grants support a range of events that encourage visitors to enjoy more of what’s on offer in our vibrant and diverse region.

We want to host major events and festivals that:

  • offer something different to other events around the state and align with the strengths of our region
  • drive substantial economic impact for our city through event-based visitation
  • provide opportunities for state and interstate marketing and promotion of our city and region.

Grants of between $6000 and $30,000 in matched funding are available. Your contribution can be cash (minimum 25% of event costs), items or volunteer hours in the planning and delivery of your event.

Please note that these grants have a strong focus on economic and tourism outcomes. If you are planning an event more focused on community outcomes please consider our Community Events Grants.
