Community Events Grants

Community Events grants support a range of new and current events that:

  • create inclusive, active diverse and vibrant destinations through increasing the activity and number of people in our public spaces, centres, neighbourhoods, townships and villages
  • build the capacity and capability of our communities
  • provide benefits to the wider community by encouraging opportunities for community participation and development
  • target marginalised groups within our communities.

Grants of up to $8000 (depending on the event category) in matched funding are available. Your contribution can be cash, items or volunteer hours in the planning and delivery of your event.

We encourage you to contact the grants program officer listed in the guidelines to discuss your project before starting your application. 

Applications are now closed and will reopen in July 2023 for events to be delivered in 2024.
