Jake Holmes is an Adelaide based artist who works across; printmaking, illustration, collage, mural painting and sound works. Holmes recently completed the Guildhouse Collections project working with the Flinders University Museum of Art, researching their collection of screen printed political poster, culminating in the exhibition, Writing the Climate.

For his residency at Sauerbier House Holmes, having recently become a parent, will explore what it is to be an artist and a parent. Jake and his son will spend time together at Sauerbier House and the environment surrounding, exploring his practice and creating new work for his exhibition alongside his son, allowing this relationship to inform and influence the work.
