Asha Southcombe - Artist in Residence January - March 23
Entanglement
Sunroom Studio | 4 January - 27 March
Walking along the river and coast of the city of Onkaparinga, Asha will be observing and documenting interactions between the human and more-than-human. While doing so, she will reflect on the critical theory of queer ecology, which aims to deconstruct the Western concept of natural/unnatural dualism. Through the act of mark making, these entanglements will be further queered to sit in a fluid state that challenges the binary concepts of what is natural and unnatural.
Open studio days are scheduled monthly on a Saturday.
Visitors are welcome to catch up with Asha and check out the project works in progress in the Sunroom studio.
