Helping Hooded Plovers

High hopes for hooded plover season

The Hooded Plover is Australia’s most threatened beach-nesting bird. Take an in-depth look at the life of a Hooded Plover, learn how to monitor Hoodies safely, and how to become a Hoodie volunteer.   There will also be a beach trip from 11.30am - 12noon.

BirdLife Australia and Green Adelaide's “Sharing our Shores” team are running this free workshop. All are welcome!

Beach trip: please bring binoculars (if you have them), drinking water and dress according to the weather (raincoat, sun hat, footwear etc). Beach trip may include a short drive. Please do not share vehicles at this time, unless you are from the same household.
