alchemy noun /ˈalkɪmi/

a medieval chemical science and speculative philosophy aiming to achieve the transmutation of the base metals into gold, and the discovery of a means of indefinitely prolonging life.

AlchemiK explores and experiments with the (subjective) theme of loss - loss of a person, an object, or a moment in time, and how, we seek to sing over the bones of that which has been lost and story-tell it back into a new and dynamic way of being. Grief-averse culture shies away from the inevitabilities of what loss looks and feels like.

The artists are interested in subverting these dominant narratives by exploring loss and the power of story-telling as a tool for transformation, cultural enrichment, resilience, and healing at the place where arts, psychogeography dérives (mindful wanderings), psychology, and creative provocations intersect.
