Arts Centre Exhibitions 2020

Expressions of interest are invited from artists who may like to present an exhibition of new work, in any media, in 2020.

All artwork submitted for exhibition should be less than 12 months old, and not have been previously exhibited at the Arts Centre.

Applications must be accompanied by a completed Expression of Interest application form (below), images of recent or indicative works, and a one page CV of the artist/s involved.

Expressions of Interest are to be submitted by Monday 2 September 2019.

Successful artists will be notified by Friday 4 October 2019.

Christies Beach Roundabout public art project

The roundabout on Hunt Crescent and Beach Road, Christies Beach will be the site for a new public art opportunity during 2019.

Council seeks to commission a spatial and or public art installation that improves aesthetics, celebrates the vibrancy of the area and triggers conversation.

Sauerbier House Artist in Residence program

Expressions of interest are now open for our July 2020 - June 2021 Artist in Residence program.

Practicing, emerging or established, local or visiting contemporary artists, working in any discipline are invited to apply to participate in Sauerbier House artist in residence program (non-residential) between July 2020 and June 2021. As a site-responsive residency, artists are asked to respond to the location or in a broader context, to the City of Onkaparinga.

  • Material support of $2000 per residence (paid by schedule)
  • Artist will facilitate opportunities for the community to participate with their practice by way of workshops, demonstrations, artist talks, etc.
  • Applicants must be over 18 year of age.

Applications close midnight 2 September 2019. Late applications will not be accepted.

[GRAFTd] Exhibition program

Calling for proposals for our May 2020 - June 2021 [GRAFTd] Exhibition program.

Sole or collaborative contemporary visual artists or curators, local or visiting are invited to apply to exhibit new or previously unseen work through the [GRAFTd] Exhibition program at Sauerbier House between May 2020 and June 2021.

Applications close midnight 2 September 2019. Late applications will not be accepted.
