Gaming Machine Revenue
The City of Onkaparinga recorded the fourth highest revenue from gaming machines in the financial year of 2007-08, in comparison to the other Adelaide Metropolitan Local Government Areas (LGA). There were 26 venues with 726 machines yielding $65.1 million.
The table below shows Adelaide Metropolitan LGAs gaming machine revenue for the financial years from 2002-03 to 2007-08. The highest revenue was recorded by Port Adelaide Enfield, which had 46 venues and 1,255 machines yielding a total of almost $78.8 million. The second highest gaming machine revenue was recorded by Salisbury, with 22 venues and 644 machines yielding $67.1 million.
Revenue in South Australia for the financial year 2007-08 totaled $758,459,459. This represents a decrease of 4.3% on the 2006-07 figure of $792,620,277. There were 574 venues across the state, with 12,682 gaming machines.

Annual Gaming Machine Returns
The chart below shows a rise in annual returns of $4,952,677 or 8.2% between the financial years of 2002-03 and 2007-08. However, there was a decline of 4.5% between 2006-07 and 2007-08 or $3,102,005.
The 2007-08 annual revenue per person over the age of 18 in the City of Onkaparinga was $576.62. By comparison, the 18+ per capita gaming revenue for Port Adelaide Enfield was $964.76, Salisbury was $755.36 and Charles Sturt was $822.38.
