School Enrolments
In 2009 there are 67 schools in the City of Onkaparinga: 50 public and 17 private. There are a total of 6,680.58 full time equivalent enrolments in private schools and 16,945 in public schools, totaling 23,625.58.
At the start of 2008 Aldinga Junior Primary School closed along with Aldinga Primary School to form a new Aldinga Primary School. Aberfoyle Park Spence and Aberfoyle Park Heysen Primary Schools also closed at the beginning of 2008, to form Thiele Primary School. At the end of 2008 Morphett Vale High School closed and Aberfoyle Hub Junior Primary School and Aberfoyle Hub Primary School closed to form a new school, Aberfoyle Hub Reception to Year 7.
