Population Change in the Statistical Local Areas

he Australian Bureau of Statistics annually produces Estimated Resident Population (ERP) figures, which are the official estimate of the Australian population between Census years.

The City of Onkaparinga ERP is 158,061 for the 2007-08 financial year. Between 2001-02 and 2007-08 there was an estimated increase of 6,350 people, with an average annual increase for the City as a whole of 0.7%.

The *Statistical Local Area (SLA) with the largest estimated growth was South Coast, which comprises thirteen suburbs between Port Noarlunga and Sellicks Beach. The South Coast SLA grew by 1,241 people, with an average annual growth rate of 2.9%.
