6 opening weekend opening weekend Join us in celebrating a decade of Shimmer at the official festival launch of the 2018 Photographic Biennale. Launching the Shimmer program, renowned projection artisans Illuminart will present Lucentide , a light work created in conjunction with Onkaparinga residents. The Arts Centre presents multi award- winning documentary photographer Barat Ali Batoor’s exhibition The Dancing Boys of Afghanistan , seen for the first time in South Australia. This poignant exhibition is an exemplary example of the power photography yields to document and convey an untold story and the lengths a professional photographer will go to, to capture that image. The event to be officially opened by Mayor Lorraine Rosenberg, City of Onkaparinga.
