We provide a weekly collection of household and commercial waste. Each rateable property is allocated a 140 litre bin (at residents’ request).

Vacant blocks are not usually issued with a bin but exceptions can be made (eg if an activity is carried out on the block that generates waste).

Bins must be out for collection by 6am on the nominated day or the night before. This time may change during periods of extreme hot weather. Take a look at our waste collection search to find out when your bins will next be emptied.

Waste—only one additional bin per rateable property is allowed at

• $108 per annum

Recycling—only one additional bin per rateable property is allowed at

• $39 per annum/140 litre bin
• $56 per annum/240 litre bin

Green Organics—two additional bins per rateable residential property allowed at

• $21 per annum per bin

All fees include GST.

Please be advised that if you no longer require the bin or if you sell the property, you need to cancel the bin or you will continue to receive invoices—even if someone else is using the bin.

The additional bin fees are for the servicing of the bin. Please note that all bins remain the property of the City of Onkaparinga.
