We offer a pre- booked hard waste collection service for all domestic households in the area. There is no direct cost to residents. 
Please note the following:

• two collections per residential property are available per financial year (bookings essential)
• each item should be able to be lifted by two people
• length of materials (ie guttering, etc) should not exceed 1.5m
• please remove doors from fridges, ovens and furniture, as well as removing mirrors/glass from cabinets, bedroom furniture, etc
• do not obstruct the footpath
• small quantities of barbed wire will be accepted provided that it is rolled up in small bundles and secured so that it is safe to handle.

The following items cannot be collected as part of a hard waste collection:

• commercial, industrial, hazardous and building waste
• soil, rocks, concrete and bricks
• liquid wastes (including paint), flammable liquids including fuel, solvents, chemicals, poisons or oils
• live ammunition or explosive types of materials, mirrors, glass, large car parts, batteries, tyres, gas bottles and flares
• animal waste
• green waste / vegetation
• cardboard / packing boxes / paper
• wood or timber
• railway sleepers.

Fridge degassing
Did you know that the old fridge you place out for hard waste collection will have the gas extracted before the rest of the unit is dismantled and recycled.
