The council established the SSBEC in conjunction with the state government in 1998 to assist our small business community and aspiring business operators. It provides free or low-cost practical business advice, counselling, referral and support in the southern metropolitan area of Adelaide.

Advisers are experienced business managers, and counselling is both confidential and independent.
If the SSBEC can’t help with a specific matter, it can usually find someone who specialises in the area of concern for the business.
