Annually the Onkaparinga Youth Committee deliver the Youth Recognition Awards, where young people are recognised, celebrated and showcased in the community for making a difference, achieving their goals and actively participating in community life.

In 2017 the awards had 59 award recipients for activities ranging from social justice activities, sporting achievements, community volunteering and overcoming personal challenges.
