Onkaparinga Active Community Network

The Onkaparinga Active Community Network (OACNET) is a network of local sport and active recreation clubs and providers. OACNET is FREE to join and members receive a range of benefits that aim to build the capacity of their club.

Grass roots sport and recreation clubs are integral to vibrant, activated and connected communities.  They deliver significant individual and community wide health and wellbeing benefits, broaden social networks and contribute to a sense of identity and a sense of place and belonging.  Over 11,000 playing members are currently serviced by volunteer sports administrators and club committees across the City of Onkaparinga.

OACNET members will receive a range of benefits including:

  • Access to club development support including support with the Office for Recreation and Sport STARCLUB
  • Access to free or subsidised needs based training and development opportunities delivered by expert training providers.
  • Receipt of a quarterly newsletter showcasing local clubs and local stories, sport and recreation industry updates, funding opportunities, industry training and resource information, agency web links and information regarding council services and resources.
  • Access to themed club development forums with networking opportunities.
  • Regular industry updates and special offers.
