Spanning 1200kms from The Flinders Ranges in the north to Cape Jervis in the south, this walking only trail is designed for bushwalkers, backpackers and single or multi-day walkers.  The trail connects to national parks, state forests and tourist destinations such as the Barossa Valley and Wilpena Pound.

The Trail is managed by a partnership between volunteers of the Friends of the Heysen Trail, State Government and a number of volunteer walking clubs, landholders and individuals.

Approximately 7kms of the Heysen Trail traverses the City of Onkaparinga in the Kuitpo Forest region. Visit the Heysen Trail website for maps and more information.
