Spanning from Marino to Willunga, this shared use path trail dissects the City from North to South and combines rural and metropolitan landscapes. Constructed along a disused rail corridor, this iconic trail connects users to key destinations such as schools, shops, parks, reserves and the tourism and wine regions of McLaren Vale and Willunga.

This section is also referred to as The Shiraz Trail. The Coast to Vines Rail Trail also interconnects locally with the Field River Trail, Christies Creek Trail and Pedlar Creek Trails which creates several trail loop opportunities.

Coast to Vines Rail Trail Closure

From: Monday 23 October 2017
To: December 2017

Area: section between Griffiths Drive and Barbados Drive, Seaford

The section of the Coast to Vines Trail between Griffiths Drive and Barbados Drive, Seaford will be closed between 23 October and December 2017.

This section is failing and has severe cracking and lifting. Council has allocated funds to renew this section of trail. Works will include the use of heavy machinery and consequently this section of the Coast to Vines Trail will be closed during the week and reopened on the weekend.

Updates will be provided on here and on our Facebook page.

During this time, users will need to find alternative routes which may include the local footpath and/or street network(s). The Cycle Instead Journey Planner maybe also be able to assist in finding an alternative route while the works are being undertaken.
