Motor vehicle registrations

In May 2011 there were 179,612 motor vehicles registered to the residents and businesses in the City of Onkaparinga, an increase of 0.5% when compared to May 2010.  This equates to 1.2 registered vehicles per person or 3.2 per household (using 2006 Census population and dwellings figures).

The 5168 postcode (suburb of O’Halloran Hill) experienced the largest increase of 3.0%, closely followed by the 5169 postcode (suburbs of Moana, Seaford, Seaford Heights, Seaford Meadows and Seaford Rise) and 5173 postcode (suburbs of Aldinga, Aldinga Beach and Port Willunga), both increasing by 2.9%.

The largest decline in registrations occurred in the 5160 postcode (suburb of Lonsdale) of 11.7%.  This was followed by the 5172 postcode (suburbs of Kuitpo, The Range, Whites Valley, Willunga and Willunga South) decreasing by 2.2%.
