The Community Wellbeing Monitor (the monitor) is a web-based monitoring system that will provide a comprehensive snapshot of the wellbeing of communities in the city.
It reports on four identified determinants of wellbeing—environmental, economic development, social development and health. Under each of these determinants we have key monitor areas which have a number of indicators to measure and track progress towards achieving community wellbeing and the Community Plan goal of strong vibrant communities.
The monitor and the data contained within can be used by anyone interested in knowing more about how our city is tracking in terms of achieving community wellbeing. Find what's happening by clicking on a monitor area. Baseline information is currently available. This will be updated on an annual basis to include updated data and identified trends.
Achieving community wellbeing relies on the collective effort of all levels of government, the non-government sector, local businesses and communities. The monitor is broad and focuses on areas that may require involvement and action from local government, but also state and federal government or non-government organisations.
The Centre for Housing, Urban and Regional Planning based at Adelaide University verified the Community Wellbeing Monitor data analysis. They were also engaged to develop a report to show initial progress links with our Community Plan and the South Australian State Strategic Plan. View the report.
