Regeneration Festival

POSTPONED DUE TO EXTREME WEATHER

Extreme weather conditions forecast for tomorrow (Friday 13 April) have led to the rescheduling of the City of Onkaparinga’s Regeneration Festival, however the Youth Recognition Awards will still proceed.

Thunderstorms and winds of up to 45 km/h are predicted in the late afternoon when the event was scheduled.

We are extremely disappointed however the safety of our community and team is our number one priority.

We have worked tirelessly to identify alternatives for the festival to go ahead but expected attendance numbers and the nature of activities planned for the event make this impossible.

We are working with event partners and sponsors to identify a future date in May to host the Regeneration Festival.

A new date will be announced via Facebook and www.onkaparingacity.com

The Youth Recognition Awards, which celebrates young people’s achievements and acknowledges the contributions they make, will still go ahead.

The awards will take place from 6pm until 8pm at the Seaford Recreation Centre.

Regeneration festival is a celebration of young people, steered by young people. The festival showcases the achievements of young people through a festival of arts, music, recreation, performance, activities and awards.

In 2018, we anticipate 3000+ young people and community members will attend to perform or enjoy the live music, comedy, dance and performance, accept a Youth Recognition Award, compete in the skate, scooter and BMX comp, immerse themselves in interactive youth curated arts, hold a reptile, explore sideshows and adventures, markets and much more.

Planning for 2018 is well underway with the announcement that City of Onkaparinga has been successfully awarded the State Youth Week Launch, bringing together a whole host of exciting new experiences.

Register your attendance.

Thanks to Adelaide Metro young people can travel for FREE by train and bus to the festival with the presentation of the Regeneration DL Flyer.
