We show our support for the visual arts and the large number of artists who live within the city by providing display and exhibition options for their work and by maintaining a collection of local art works

Art Projects
We undertake a number of key arts projects as part of our commitment to the arts in the city. Two major artist exchanges projects have been undertaken over the past eight to ten years. These are:

• Double Vision - Artist Exchange 

• Double Vision - A Port to Port - Artist Exchange

Both exchanges involve between four to six visual artists from the City of Onkaparinga changing places with a similar number of artists from another local government area within the state or interstate. Each spends time in the other’s space observing and recording their impressions of the other’s landscape. They then return to create new art works which result in a joint showing of the combined works in the City of Onkaparinga and with the reciprocal host.

Donations
Donated or bequeathed works may be accepted after mutual agreement with the donor. A time limit will be negotiated for the work to be part of the collection and then an agreed method of storage or archiving for long term storage
