Community Wellbeing

Community Wellbeing

The Community Wellbeing Monitor will provide a comprehensive snapshot about the wellbeing of communities in the City of Onkaparinga.

Community wellbeing describes vibrant, livable, equitable, culturally enriched, healthy, viable and prosperous communities.

The values that underpin community wellbeing are good governance, active citizenship, and social justice.

Four Determinants of Community Wellbeing

The Monitor contains indicators that will track progress against the four determinants of community wellbeing: environmental, economic development, social development and health.

The level of community wellbeing experienced is influenced by the four interrelated determinants as shown below. Community wellbeing is enhanced and maintained when there is strength across these four areas.

The bullet points under each determinant represent a monitor area for which specific desired outcomes statements and indicator/s have been developed. Further information about each monitor area can be found by clicking on the item. The monitor areas marked in italics are areas we acknowledge contribute to community wellbeing, but no reliable data is currently available.
