Filter - Neville Cichon - Exhibition and Launch

Climate change is a slow moving disaster that struggles to compete for our attention. Iconic imagery of polar bears or hurricanes in faraway places do little to connect our day-to-day lives with the climatic changes slowly happening around us.

Collaborating with the City of Onkaparinga’s Sustainability team, and inspired by the residency location, artist Neville Cichon explored local climate change issues including coastal erosion and flooding.

Various photographic techniques and presentation methods were used to showcase a collection of works that aim to spark dialogue and increase understanding of these local and global challenges.
