Celebrate Encounter Marine Park as the park of the month in January. Join in a range of fun and inspirational activities along the coast with the DEWNR education team.

Jump in for a safe and supervised snorkel with Experiencing Marine Sanctuaries at Port Willunga beach.

With all snorkeling and safety equipment provided, each small group is assigned their own snorkel guide so that you can fully immerse yourself in this underwater world.

Port Willunga is a stunning beach with many historic and natural features that make this one of the most interesting snorkel sites in Encounter Marine Park. Snorkel groups will be guided over the historic sunken shipwreck -The Star of Greece. You may encounter fish species such as leather jackets, wrasse, magpie perch, long-snouted boarfish and dolphins.

The event is suitable for children 5 years and over who are good swimmers. At least one caregiver must accompany and supervise children (ratio of one caregiver: two children).

Please note that this event may be canceled in the event of unsuitable weather conditions.
