Aldinga Sunflower Spiral Garden

The Aldinga Sunflower Spiral Garden is a project aimed at:

  • Promoting and utilising the new Aldinga Town Square and Central Way.
  • Increasing opportunities for social connections by hosting an event in a public space that is accessible and attractive.
  • Increasing attachment to a place by providing an opportunity for community to take part in an inspiring and special place makeover project.

In addition we hope to:

  • Have community plant seeds and nurture the garden.
  • Facilitate learning about pollinators and planting.
  • Encourage cross-generational learning and social interaction.
  • Provide an opportunity for us to link families with local bee keepers and spread the word on the importance of bees and the benefits of local honey.

Location: Eastern side of the Aldinga Library, Central Way, Aldinga Beach
Length: 160metres
Area:240sqm
